Welcome to the site for the Victorian Squash Rackets Referees Association Inc.

Referees in Victoria are managed by a Committee of Management which was initially convened in October, 1973. The VSRRA became an Incorporated body in 1990.

The declared "Statement of Purpose" of the VSRRA is:

(a) To improve the quality of marking and refereeing and to elevate the status of markers and referees;

(b) To provide a service of marking and refereeing facilities.

In addition, the VSRRA provides input on the Rules of Squash to the National body responsible for the Rules within Australia, initially the Australian Squash Rackets Referees Association (ASRRA) (defunct 2006) which comprised of State representatives but now coordinated by a Rules & Referees Advisory Committee of Squash Australia which has the following primary objectives for the 2008/2009 period.

  1. To improve the Standard of all Australian Referees,
  2. To enhance the reputation of Refereeing in the Australian Squash Community,
  3. To establish and to maintain a viable Refereeing Structure.
